Pup needs a puppy mix suitable for a giant breed.

Personally I would bring it up on fresh raw meat, it grows them out slowly giving their bones and joints good time to develop and lessens the likelihood of bloat, known in this breed.
Same here, < Frank, a Mastiff cross, is the biggest, soppiest dog I've ever owned.
I'm just a bit concerned that this dog has been 'inherited' and rosamund might be unable to cope with the demands of the breed. I hope I am wrong.
At ten weeks surely the breeder is known and around to give advice? Giant breeds need specialist puppy food so they don't grow too quickly or they will not have enough substance, they will grow up tall and gangly and their legs and joints will suffer. Any of the better quality dog food companies do large breed puppy food and it will need four meals a day for the first couple of months, then three meals and two a day until it is about two. Calcium supplements are also necessary but in moderation.
Maybe not lankeela, pups get passed around "down the pub", also you are assuming the breeder has any interest in or care for, the pups at all. A friend of mine ended up with her lovely dog because she took it off a drunk who was bringing up the pup on takeaways and neat vodka.
