Small Print Difficult To Read

I've recently changed from XP to Windows 7 and find the various toolbars - Command Bar, Menu Bar, etc. are difficult to follow because the print describing the various functions is so small it's difficult to see. Is there a way of increasing the size of File, Edit, View, Tools, Favourites, Help etc.? Advice appreciated.

Start > Control Panel > Display > Select 'Medium' (or 'Larger') > Click 'Apply'> Click 'Log off now'.

Right click on a spare bit of the desktop and select 'personalize' Then click on 'Windows Color'. Go down and click on 'Advanced appearance settings'. Then click on the bits you want to change, click apply and ok where necessary.

Do your alterations in small steps, easy to get carried away!!
