I was listening to a US Blues/Gospel Radio station and they played
The Ghetto by Delaney & Bonnie

I would love to know the name of the pianist accompanying them. His
wonderful Gospel chord progressions were marvellous.
Anyone out there who can put a name to him please?

Thanks LIK

From the links you kindly provided it seems it is Leon Russell.
I can now do some more research.

Cheers
Happy to have been able to help, K - hope you're keeping well? :-)

I'm feeling my age a bit and am not as active on AB as I once was but
the Grandchildren keep me busy.
Thanks for asking.

I'm glad you're ok & it's nice to see you again :-)
They were accompanied by famed musicians of 70s. My guess is Alan Price

Thanks tamborine, you've giving me another lead.
I'd guess that it was Bobby Whitlock. He played on Eric Clapton's Layla and George Harrison's All Things Must Pass and was certainly with D & B in the late 60s.
Bobby Whitlock certainly played on the Album featuring 'The Ghetto' as did Leon Russell.
