I`ve never bought anything from Boden and I have seen a mac I like. How is their sizing? Does it come up large or small for the size or is it pretty average? I don`t buy clothes off the internet because I can`t be bothered with the hassle of it not fitting and having to be sent back but I want the jacket if I can`t find anything on the high street.

In my experience it is completely irregular sometimes it comes up small sometimes large. Have a look at the reviews for the item you are interested in, it may give you a clue about that specific Mac.

Thanks Eccles. I hadn`t thought to look at the reviews (never used the site before). Most people say that it`s true to size.
Oh that's good, perhaps they've sharpened up their act. I stopped shopping with them a couple of years ago as I was getting so hacked off having to buy multiple sizes of the same garment in the vain hope one of them would fit!
I find them a little on the small size. I would normally get a 16 top from M&S but need an 18 with boden but with free delivery & collection I'd order both sizes and send one back.
I usually find them generous, but not huge. With a mac, go by the size on their own web site size page.

Thanks for the replies. I looked again at the fabric of the Boden one and it`s not really what I want - even though I like it. It was this one http://www.boden.co.uk/en-GB/Womens-Coats-Jackets/Coats/WE434-NAV/Womens-Navy-Spot-Rainy-Day-Mac?NavGroupID=2 but I want a nylon mac that I can wear in the tipping rain because I can never be bothered with umbrellas. I`m wearing a boring, black horse riding waterproof jacket for that purpose at the moment and I wanted something a bit brighter and maybe patterned. It`s quite hard to find though.
Try SeaSalt they have cheery stuff but are also true to their coastal roots and consequently offer foul weather gear.

Thanks, I will. I`m thinking Toggi as well. I`ll have to look into it and I think it`s going to have to be something off the internet.
