Someone advise me the other day that it was 'pouring with rain'

errrm , what else would it be pouring with - neat gin ?

What other 'odd' thing have you heard anyone say ?

oh don't get me started ;-) 'hand-cut' chips - 'oven baked' -'pan fried' and the ambiguous 'home cooked'

'For free' seems to be common parlance. It drives me mad! 'Get it for free'. You see and hear it everywhere.

Was always puzzled as a child by flammable and inflammable meaning the same.
