I have water sealed and now have to wait 30 days to paint. I have noticed a few rusty marks on the blocks and I don't want them to leech through after I've painted. I have some stain stop paint could I use that before the masonry paint or is there a specific exterior stuff I should use?

As long as it's for exterior use, Ratts, it should be fine. Heathfield likes to use oil-based undercoat or gloss, or a mixture of the two.

Also, aluminium paint for really bad staining. It blocks creosote on sleepers.

Thanks Builder, it's not bad stains just odd spots. I think the stuff I have is Bulls eye but I'll have to check the tin for info.
That's what I usually use Ratts. It's exterior as well :o)
