My estate has a radio antenna fitted in the rear quarter light. The radio reception is rubbish at best. Is there anything that I could fit to the car to make the reception better?

If it's a factory fitted antenna it may be powered and that can fail, maybe worth a check over.
Autoleads do an aftermarket glass mount unit for less than £20 that works well. Just needs 12v and an earth.
Depends of how far you want to go re fitting an aerial. I'm sure there are plenty of better ones than a window one if you are prepared to have folk drill the relevant holes and fit a proper antenna.
some cars use the rear window heater as an aeriel
