I took out phone insurance with my new phone 3 months ago and now need to make a claim but checked my bank and no premiums have been taken out. Are the insurance company obliged to honour the contract?

Have you had any documentation or emails confirming that you are insured?

Only had the original documentation from the shop when I agreed & took the insurance out. I've had nothing else through, should I have had?
Maybe they never received/approved your application then?

then the shop are at fault for not seeing the transaction through - and must be liable
Our insurance premium is on our mobile phone bill - they just take it as part of the monthly payment. Check your bills, they may not be charging separately.

If the phone company should have been but haven't demanded the money, one would hope they'd honour it.....
