Notes App On Ipad Saving A New Version Too Often

When I am working on the Notes app on my ipad it seems to save an updated version of the doc every few minutes leaving me with 5-10 of them down the side of the page after working on a doc for an hour or so.

I'm pleased that it is automatically saving my work but can I set it so that it saves one updated version of the doc instead of saving multiple copyies of it?

Thanks

If you are wanting to create documents you will need 'Pages' available in the App Store it was £6.99 when I bought it a couple of years ago. Easy to use and saves as you go. Notes is just for what it says making notes.

Oh I probably shouldn't have said 'documents'. I'm happy to be using it for notes but just don't need it to save another updated version of the note every couple of minutes which I then have to go back and delete.
Pages is now free if you have iOS 7 & you bought your device after September 1st 2013.
I am not sure how to fix the issue you're having with notes - but it might be worth you looking at "evernote". It's a free note-taking app that allows you to save everything to the cloud and also record audio-notes and pictures as well as text.

All the best,

Thanks Sycamore and Ed but I'm happy using the notes app. Could just do without all the unnecessary saved earlier drafts. Its a bore to have to delete them plus they push my other notes down and off the page.
