Quality Of A Photo To Be Used As A Large Framed Pic

A friend posted a pic on fb that I think is lovely and would be interested in having it as a framed picture for my wall.

However how do I get an idea if it would look ok as a blown up picture ie the quality etc.

Click on it on a computer screen. If it looks OK full size it should be OK, depending on what 'large' is.

It looked ok when I looked at it on full screen on the computer Zacs.

I would like it to be approx 2ft x 1ft if I was to get it enlarged for framing.
Then it should be OK. Take a copy to a photographic shop and ask them.
Ask your friend for a copy of the original photo file - facebook pictures are reduced to relatively low resolution - the original will be much better.

As a rule of thumb, you need about a 2MB file to look good at A4 size and around 3.5MB for a decent A3 print. Facebook pictures are usually about 150KB maximum - looks OK on a screen but not so clever when printed.
