Thanks using pc windows 7. Which article suggesting free progs to tidy up and speed up start etc Had a lesser problem for some time when opening firefox always 'get this is embarrassing' notice I have just opened this site and it is all going on with dreary music playing too Down left of screen is a long list in blue headed rPoor performance checking windows errorselated searches whiichh doNOT relate to anything I have looked up Should I delete these programmes anyway just in case. I did wonder if the embarrassing notice was related to firefox but was not unduly bothered as bookmarks fine but this list on left includes strokes, catheters atrial ablation!!!
I used to use Soluto on XP when it was a standalone program but once I moved to Windows 7 I wasn't convinced that it did speed the startup at all so got rid of it. I would suggest uninstalling it because it's probably unnecessary with later versions of Windows (and also it is very web-based in its operation compared to how it used to work, something that I personally wouldn't trust inherently).
Personally I would get shot of Soluto and instead of Super Anti Spyware I would download and install Microsoft Security Essentials along with the free edition of Malwarebytes and also that which has been suggested by sex goddess.

The following Links should help you:-

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security-essentials-download

https://www.malwarebytes.org/

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/?src=ss

After downloading the above (if you choose to that is ) give your computer a run through with MSE and a quick scan with Malwarebytes before reporting back on matters.

I acknowledge what methyl has said about removing whatever AV you have before downloading MSE. Having more than one AV programme causes conflict and can lead to numerous further problems.

Furthermore, has as been said by methyl......"The Malwarebytes scan is a priority".

Please take some action and report back.

Hans.

Sorry, I have been out, enjoying the sun.

I see you have been well looked after by HansUrbancka and Methyl so I need to add nothing to the answers.
I run Superantispyware & Malwarebytes weekly & do not have the probs you are getting so I would suggest you get rid of Solutu immediately.
