Is it wise to buy a manufacturer upgrade mini laptop from Ebay. my magic XP will be obsolete in april and I see lots of complaints about windows 8. Any advice would be appreciated.

I've got Windows 7 and it's fine. They seem to make a mess of every second version.

I'm not sure XP would be obsolete. I heard today on China news on TV that China has worked out a deal with Microsoft for them (China) to continue writing security patches and other updated for XP.

29% of the world's computer users are still using Windows XP.
