I would like to enter multiple destinations into Google Maps (of an area that I don't know well) and then get it to plot my journey. Is this possible?

Thanks

I don't know - but you could use the RAC site and get it to plot one journey at a time?
Do you not just put where the journey starts and the destination?
Yes very possible.

Enter you start and finish locations and then click on advance or via

This give you more lines and you can enter the other destinations in here. Once you have the map with the blue line showing the route, you can also click and drag the markers to take you via other places too.
I'll have to give that a go, maydup!
Watch out for me though Boxie, i sometimes sound convincing but am inclined to have mayditup!

Thanks for your answers.

The different addresses are all within a few miles of each other and there could be 20+ of them so I think the blue lines would look a bit like a spiders web!

I don't need to use Google Maps but need something which will tell me the most circuitous route between all the places.

Hope this makes sense!

Surely you want the least circuitous route?

oops - yes heathfield! I want it to be able to plot the most effective way to pass each spot.
Mapquest lets you optimize your route and will re-order yours stops in the 'most efficient' manner (my quotes as computer algorithms can be flawed) http://www.mapquest.co.uk/routeplanner

Thanks Fitzer - I will have a look at that.
i believe couriers have been coming up against this very problem for years, and there is not a particularly reliable way to do it
