About 18months ago my dad shut my hand in the car door. When I say shut I mean completely shut. My dr saw me and told me I was lucky I still had my fingers and that they were not broken. He to keep an eye on them and nothing untoward has happened...until now. This past week 3 of the fingers one in particular is very sore around the joint (the one next to the knuckle where your finger would normally bend) its worse first thing in the morning it sort of is stuck in its 'position' for an hour or so.

Could it be just the cold weather or is it worth finding out if its the start of Arthiritis (which runs in the family) I do try and make fists and wiggle my fingers to stretch but its starting to get uncomfortable

No big deal.......a degree of traumatic arthritis (joint damage) and may only occasionally give trouble.Take analgesics if it becomes painful.
No need to see a Dr. at this stage.
Hope you've forgiven him :)

Thank you Sqad :)

Blue toffee - yes I have forgiven him I forgave him after he went into McDonalds to get a cup of ice for me to stick my fingers in and when he had to explain to my boss why I wouldn't be back at work (I'd only just returned after a bout of illness) but I'm now wary of where I put my hands
