Hi, has anyone tried this and found it any good?

Just checked my bill online and they are putting my payment up despite my being significantly in credit. Unbelievable!

That means they know something about future price increases, that we don't know yet......

Ahh, hadn't thought of that. I'm going to see if they can refund some of it though usually takes a battle to get it from them, a few times I've been a lot I credit and they just seem try anything to avoid refunding it.

Last time I was in credit on my gas and debit on my electric and they refused to transfer it over to settle it, in the end they said they would send me a cheque for me to cash and send the money back to them to settle the other account! Just seems daft.
I had no trouble getting a credit refunded, just phoned and it was put back into my bank account. They even refunded me once without me having to ask! Amazing. I just pay my bill monthly now so they don't have any of my money earning interest for them.
not sure it applies to all energy companies but when I think ours asks for an over-inflated monthly direct debit payment I phone and tell them how much I will pay and they have always been happy to oblige. Of course, if there is any shortfall at bill time I would have to pay that then, but so far I am a better gauge of my energy usage than they are!
