I did the same Emmie to see if I could see my bin but its gone and I quickly shut it again. Its so bad I keep thinking my roof is going to come off.

Feel for everyone affected by flooding and now gale force winds :o(

This was us this afternoon and the wind is still howling and it's pelting down .
I fear for my chimney pots.I've already lost the felting off the shed roof !

Thanks, DTC...just spoke to her....she's at the top of a hill and it's scaring her....think the fence will have to be insurance now all of it has gone.
Scary gusts here now.....think I still have a shed but next door's fence looks dodgy.

I live in landlocked Wiltshire - but the wind seems stronger than any we've had so far this winter!

Every thing is banging and clattering outside, but as I'm watching TV via a Sky dish, at least that is still secure. Will check my fence panels in the morning.

Anyone got plans for building an ark?

That's lovely of you, Giveup....thank you.
I think it's the thought of what it could do to her house rather than to her that makes her scared.
I've just said I'll treat her to a trip to Ireland if she does the planning and booking so that'll occupy her and take her mind off it for a while I hope.
We must get together in the summer if there is any country left to visit..☺
