wind ding your bank - I imagine they still have telephones and check -even call in mine are open this am

if it is nat with a small n - definitely a scam

and remember the bank NEVA - yes NEVUH asks for your details over the phone.
Spam, almost certainly. You can open it, avoiding any links or attachments, to see -is it addressed to you by name?

Don't use any links in the email, go to your browser and log into the bank website (assuming you use on-line banking) and if you can get it up and running and access your details, your account's OK. The scammers rely on people panicking and responding to the email.
Scam probably. If you use online/phone banking might be an idea to change your password as a precaution.

Delete the message unopened. Go to NatWest website under your own bookmark.
oh God online banking

I still use cheques and still get these emails
and often pay in in person
Is the email addressed to you personally? or to Dear valued customer. Only time my card was used in an odd location I got a phone call from Security. I was in South Africa and card was used in Cyprus. It was dodgy and they were on top of the situation. I have never ever received a legitimate email from any bank. They just dont work that way. Phone call if urgent. Letter if not.
...and forward the email to [email protected]. I get these all the time, from various banks, even ones I don't have an account with.

If you are worried, the banks are open this morning.
If you recognise the e-mail address it came from, it's probably OK..

If you don't recognise the e-mail address (and if the Subject Line is as you have written it - 'nat West Bank Notice' - it's almost certainly a scam) then send it on to Nat West's security people at: [email protected].

Do not open the e-mail, do not respond and do not open any attachment.

Banks will not e-mail you asking for information/confirmation that you've used your card, much more likely to call you if there's a problem.

Finally, if still not sure, ring the bank and ask if they have sent you an e-mail.

Hope this helps.

When someone tried to use my (cloned) card in Thailand, the bank immediately blocked my card and i didn't know until i rang the bank and was put through to the fraud line. They sent me a new card.
