The day The Earth Stood Still! That film about the friendly alien comes to USA and some idiot shoots him. He has a big silver robot with him called Goyt or something like that. I love that film even now.
The Goonies!

The Towering Inferno - If I remember right it was on every Christmas Eve!

Flight Of The Navigator

I love kids films, to this day I still think they are great.

I know I would have said the Wizard of Oz and Mary Poppins back then.

Too many to chose from but the dark crystal i loved but it scared me and i wanted to be in the labyrinth.

Close Encounters of the Third Kind! That then got me into Arthur C Clarke books, space stuff and physics..I ended up studying Physics with Astrophysics at uni.
I also loved Xanadu..I still do and have it on DVD.
The Sound of Music
Grease
Its funny cos some of the films i used to love like monsters christmas freak me out now!!

I used to love "Flight of the Navigator", but noone ever seems to remember this film.

"Labyrinth" was a firm favourite too

OMG KebabMeister did you read my mind? How great was Daina Dors in the Amazing Mr Blunden? Only gets 3 stars in Radio Times film reviews though. Definitely a favourite childhood film.
Jungle Book - brilliant!!

I love The Snowman, i watch it every year and it never gets old.

I also love Drop Dead Fred with Rik Mayall and Edward Scissorhands. Mary Poppins is definately a classic though.

I agree with kebab.

The Amazing Mr Blunden was always on at our cinema and I always went to watch it. Another was Song of the South and Huckleberry Finn. Bizarrely the Roger Moore movie Gold was a film that I seemed to catch quite a lot.
