Can anyone recommend the best book to read about the Grand Canyon Expedition by JW POWELL.

The best I've found (I live in the western U.S.) is Powell's own "The Exploration of the Colorado River and Its Canyons"… a day-by-day diary of his exploration. (He had only one arm, you know trivia lost in the Civil War). The actual exploration began in my home State of Wyoming, ending in present day Lake Mead, just outside of Las Vegas, Nevada...
