Best Microchip Cat Flap?

Can anyone recommend a particular one? This will be the 3rd cat flap we have had to get for our cat! The present one is a magnetic one but months ago the cat realised he could get his collar off and has refused to wear one so the magnetic bit was taped up. Until recently having a normal cat flap wasn't a problem but now there is another cat coming in and eating his food, sleeping on the sofa and being a pain! So a microchip one is going to be the last option. We have a Staywell at the moment so ideally one that is the same size would be helpful :)

Hi Tigwig,

I've had a Pet Porte Smart for several years now and its still going strong.

Thanks. I have looked at that one on amazon as well as others and there really are such mixed reviews I can't make a decision! Do you have to have it plugged in as I do have a nearby plug but would be concerned about the wire. Also was it easy to install?
We've got a sureflap and are very happy with it, fits exactly like a manual flap, battery powered and they last about a year with our two cats.
