you get two thirds of the way through scanning, then the system says "Authorisation Required". So you stand there like a lemon for up to 5mn. when no-one arrives (which is common) what are you supposed to do? I've got a life, I haven't got time for Tesco to decide whether they're going to help me. Of course I walk.

Lol@Eccles. Taking umbrage because you had to place your sandwich in the 'bagging area'. I'm sure you're an honest person but you can't expect the poor old machine to make that judgement..

I don't know what all of these people who want to protect jobs are doing in supermarkets in the first place. Shouldn't they be boycotting them in protest over all the small shops they've driven out of business?
