Is the Living Earth app a live satellite transmitted image? If so I would have thought it possible to see the Yosemite fires currently burning.

Mmm. A bit confusing. The App Store description calls it a 3D simulation but then goes on to say that it gives near real time cloud pictures from satellites, updated every three hours.
