We are up in North Northumberland and my veggie garden is about 6 weeks behind what it should be. My early potatoes have just popped their little green heads out of the soil and my beans , which I set off in pots and planted out at the weekend, are looking very sorry for themselves. The only thing thats thriving at the moment are the parsnips which germinated in record time, and the turnips (swedes) love this weather. How are your veggies doing?

Sibs, blame the weather. All I planted were some herbs in pots. The thyme is not looking good. I might need to try again :(
I was going to put in a raised bed and grow some veg. this year. I'm glad I didn't bother.
I know its not veg,but I reseeded some patches on my lawn, and nothing is happening.
the onions have drowned, the rhubarb is doing reasonably well, much too wet and too windy to put anything else out
Allotment blog.
Early spuds. About 1' high, started off in poly tunnel in 12" pots.
Onions. Hardly growing:-(
Rhubarb, Tons of the stuff:-)
Strawberries. Should be picking next week, grown in poly tunnel:-)
Broad beans. About 12" high:-I.
Brassicas. :-(
Runner beans. Should be planting out at weekend:-)
Just drove by the local allotments and they're looking more like
Asian paddie fields then English country gardens, The rain has been pouring down for about an hour and it looks like it's here for the day. All we have are flowers and shrubs which aren't doing much at the moment but having said that our cherry tree was a mass of blossom a few weeks ago and most of it seems to have set so we're hoping for a bumper harvest, the nectarine however has hardly had any blossom.
Spuds - about to flower (bot in the PT and outside)
beetroot/salad leaves/baby leeks/carrots/parsnips/turnips - all doing what they should be
Cauliflour - only 2 left the others all pegged it
onions - doing remarkably well - unless they start to rot
Everything else is the polytunnel (so its probably all rotting given I have holes in the roof)

Carrust, my broccoli is looking good but I think I may have planted my french beans out too early . Its bl++dy awful here today. My daughter bought me a lovely polytunnel for my birthday (best present ever), its 6ft by 15ft so next year I think I may bring my garden inside lol!
Veg still in seed pkts - cba with them as they're cheap in the shops by the time mine are ready.....but the orchids are in bud ;)
