I remember Ethel. Very well educated lady and good with her answers.
Also Bigmamma never once complained about her illness always cheerful. I know how she felt as I looked after a lady with the same illness in my private nursing.
I too remember Ethel with fondness.....I do hope she's alright.
Ethel used to call me weird....she was not too wrong there then:-)
Poor bigmamma did die though. We know that. Lovely lady.
im guessing you must have had another user name prior potiche as ethel left before you joined.

I think ethel passed away, dont know as a fact, but likely :(

rinkins is on FB
Think it must be about 3 to 4 years now Naomi since Bigmamma died.
I remember Ethel. She didn't suffer fools gladly, she used to rip 'em to shreds if they took the pee.
Ah, Bigmamma was a lovely lady and have always remembered her in a good light.
Yes, I remember Ethel. She made me LOL a lot. She onced used the phrase "what the ecky peck" and that has stuck with me. Very funny lady and much missed.

Bigmamma was a wonderful lady and very sadly missed by many x
I remember Ethel very well indeed, a lovely lady who lived in Dudley quite near to where I live in Aldridge. We corresponded by email occasionally & she was a very interesting person to talk to. I do know that she suffered with Myasthenia Gravis & had to visit hospital very regularly. Then one day she stopped appearing on A/B, & because we are all remote from each other on here there was no way of finding out what happened to her so I assumed that her illness had caught up with her & she is no longer with us.
Rest in peace lovely Ethel.♥♥♥.

Lottie is just having an AB break for a while.
I too remember Ethel with fondness - thought she was very well educated myself and great with her answers.
Yes I do, and her very knowledgeable answers
I always wondered too, have fond memories of her.

I so miss Bigmamma, found a Christmas card she sent me a few years ago recently and shed a tear or two though she is at least out of pain, a beautiful beautiful soul.

I do miss Whiffey too, he could be controversial but had an incredibly sharp wit.
