My heart is breaking at what I have just seen in today`s Daily Mirror...a 10 year old starving child sitting in the gutter, whilst tons of rice is being loaded onto a lorry to feed the army in North Korea
I feel so helpless as what can I do to help...nothing!!!

i've read the people have been starving for years it is heartbreaking to see how the people are treated .
All the Kims have been starving their people for generations. There is a marked difference between the height of the North and the South because of the malnutrition rife in the North.

Recent problems with China (who have been feeding the country with vast aid) have made the problem worse. Kim Jun Un's pig stupidity regarding their bigger neighbour is worse than even the pig headedness of his father or grandfather.
What's the answer to the country's threats? I'm sure within 6 months we will find out.
i don't think they care, seeing how long it's been going on.
"I don't think they care, seeing how long it's been going on."

No, the rest of the world does though.
Stop reading the Daily Mirror. It wont help the children, but you wont feel so helpless.
The family need 'taking out'!- or, at least a good slap!
If reading the likes of " The Mirror does not show the in-human way that this child treats his people) how can the world found out?
They are spending all the money on weapons a sad world we live in
TWR; So now you know, but as the OP asks, what are you going to do about it? I was once secretary for a UK branch of Amnesty International. Over a long period we raised public awareness of some issues, but I don't think a we made a great deal of real change in the world. Eventually, after endless meetings, rallies, and fund-raising, as Bob Geldorf put it; "Compassion fatigue" sets in. Try to help where you can, but if there is nothing you can do about it, you are better off unaware. If Obama is unable sort them out, I know I can't.
Khandro, To continue to sanction this country effects some of the population but not the evil dictators, someone is supplying this Idiot & his scientist with the Chemicals that are used for his Rockets, the world powers MUST find the source of the materials & stop it, the world powers has the ability via Satellite to disclose where. Strangle the source of the "feed" that will reduce the impact the intent, Japan will not hesitate to retaliate, this young Idiot is trying when he gets time from playing with his EX games to impress like his Idiot Father, he hold his country with fear, but it only takes one bullet to rid of one evil, you may say there are plenty to take his place, but I say, thats one less, this country has enough on it's plate with interfering in Iraq / Afghanistan, Syria, the world powers can stop this & stop it they must, Thinking about it will not stop him, something has to be done before HIS thinking start another war, on thats on a very fine line at present.
Kim Jun Un holds his own people in a time lock going back to the late 40s!North Korea people are brainwashed and the intellectuals put in prison, or anyone who talks out of term!Mainly through fear and brainwashing they standby Kim Jun Un! What can we do?...god knows, but wouldn't it be great to see the people of North Korea get their freedom! Look what happened in East Germany!
TWR; I hear what you say, but in practise the 'strangulation' process is usually counterproductive and makes for even more resolve and entrenchment. Removal of dictatorships by outside forces make matters worse for the general population, and is anyway out of the question with N.Korea, who would want to send soldiers into that madhouse?
The best way for change would be for a coup from within, but that looks highly unlikely. Whether you bomb or starve them into submission, or even if you leave them alone, the ordinary population will suffer. Frankly, I don't see a solution other than by dialogue.
kloofnek - I know how you feel, I saw this and felt like screaming. Poor, poor kid. That madman is too busy feeding his troops to care about anyone else.
Khandro, time will tell.!!

I can`t get it out of mind!!!
as Khandro says: "Try to help where you can, but if there is nothing you can do about it, you are better off unaware. "
In this cruel Male dominated world, there are Evil beyond comprehension people Kloofnek, this clown that thinks he is immortal can think what he like, & he thinks like that by fear to his people, If truth is known in his country, his people despise the clown but dare not say a word, dare not talk to other people about it because it could be heard by the wrong persons, everyone in the country is trying to be on the good side of this idiot & by telling tales about people's comments they think that they will never come under the rifle, how wrong they are, the powers to be May have the solution, but the solution may be solved by the Idiot himself!! meaning, he fire's his rockets in the wrong place, could be the ending of his stupid life, Kloofnek, direct your mind to other happenings, Could be Africa / any part of the world where famine occurs, there are people going hungry in this country you know, do not think about that poor lad in N.Korea, he is only one the world knows about!! Take Care.x
