I know its probably obvious but how do I write a fraction on my keyboard as i need to post a maths question that includes x over y blah blah. How can I write the fraction as it should look and not in words as say x over y?

I've search engined til I'm blue in the face, nothing useful is appearing.
I'm sure it can be done.
Would like to find out myself, not to use, just nosey.
All I can suggest is
x/y

So its not just me then alba : )
5/9 x 7/8 = ?
Or some of the common ones can be done this way
½=hold alt+0189
¼=hold alt+0188
¾=hold alt+0190
Write for example z=x/y or if it's more complicated z=(a+b)/(c+d)

Thanks guys - will try those ways, and see if my question makes any sense!
You can put it into a Word document easily enough using Insert, Equation- but when you paste it into AB it will lose all its formatting.
You could write it by hand, scan it in and put it onto Photobucket with a link on here
all I can find is
http://math.typeit.org/

(it's all greek to me but I don't see x over y in there.
