I had an email a few days ago saying I had won £1000,000 in the Coca Cola ring pull draw. I emailed back saying I would contact the company to check as I had a suspicion it was a scam.
Now I have had another email which appears to be from Coca Cola saying that the money is in Citibank.

They have asked for name and address, but no money or bank details. The address on the top if the email is in Liverpool and the address of Citibank is given as Canary Wharf. Is this a scam? Has anyone else had one of these?

Thanks.

Did you enter into the ring pull cometition? if you didn't it's a scam.
Doh, competition, bloody iPad

I entered it in the summer when the children where here, but I am still suspicious. Don't know whether to show the police and let them check it out.
if you had won that much money, they would come to your house, surely, rather than just email you
i can't advise you but i would be very surprised if the police were interested
A million pounds? I hope you have won. I don't know whether it's a scam. If it isn't ......................wow!
I'd be wary of anything allegedly from CC which quoted prizes in £ rather than $ as they are a worldwide company

Have a look at this page http://www.cokezone.co.uk/ - the prizes there aren't in that league, and it appears you'd have to register first

Thanks guys, Especially emeritus for the link. My luck is not that good! Still, spring will be here soon won't it?
I wouldn't hold your breath for spring coming anytime soon ;)

We have had spring already. It was last Wednesday afternoon.
we've got spring so far this morning.
We've got the sun, but it's still fricking freezing outside.
yes it is a scam.
phone citibank canary wharf. I wouldnt be sending my bank detals etc to anyone. sounds like 419 scam.
if it was a big win in one of their prootional competions they wuld contact you in person wantt o do pictures, interview etc for advertising.
Good link there from emeritus, but reading it just made me think... who would do something like that? it's pretty mean giving people false hope like that, isn't it.

The Nigerian scams just make you laugh, because everyone knows they're a scam, but this is worse as you've actually entered the competition.
just in case you have really won my begging letter is on its way. (not holding my breath)
