My car was first registered on 28-02-2010. What is the earliest date that I can take it for an MOT.

a month
You can take your car for an MOT one month before it's due.
A month in advance so anytime before 28/2 https://www.gov.uk/getting-an-mot
Should be somewhere around now, I think it's 1 month before the due date. The MOT will be dated on 28.02.13
I think it is 1 month (28 days) before it has to have the MOT done. So you can take it now.
or move to the Isle of Man where they don't have MOTs
You can have an MOT whenever you want but it is mandatory to have one before the 3rd anniversary of its first registration.
In the olden days, if you took a car to be MOT’d up to a month before its 3rd birthday – they would extend the MOT up to 13 months (as per usual) – but you had to show the registration document.

Now I suspect it will be done automatically (with everything being held on a data base), but it would do no harm to take the V5 just in case they don’t automatically extend it.
