I'm doing roast chook, parsnips, roasties, pigs in blankets, broccoli, purple kale, carrots, stuffing, peas, sprouts and chestnuts, green beans and gravy.

Any tips on how to cook the kale?

I'm flipping boiling now with all this steaming...
Roast beef dins.
Spag bol tonight, was going to be tomorrow but I've changed my mind.
Pork belly, spatchcocked chicken and a boiled ham, roasties and a trio of veg yet to be decided on.

I have a bottle of Mount Trio Gravel Pit Shiraz 2007 which is currently breathing on the side.
down the pub and an excellent roast beef, the place heaving, a little pre-expedition to "analyse" the rugby before I came and got the mater.

Kale - steam 10, saute with a little butter, squeeze of lemon juice and cracked black pepper, some pancetta in if you wish a little variant...or pancetta and red onion......

pork, leeks and celery braised in cider with mustard and cream to finish, mixed root mash, peas.
How's your hoop Slumber?
Belly pork (mainly for the crackling), sprouts, mushrooms, and mash.........

I had steak, chips, mushy peas, toms and mushrooms, for lunch....I don't think I'll bother with dinner now.
I'm not long home and have a pretty empty fridge.

Supper this evening will be homity or smoked chicken tart with salad. Although I might skip the salad and eat all the pies instead.
We had a roast yesterday so it's cold beef ,bubble ,pickles and salad .
Followed by apricot tart and cream .
