Favourites disappearing

On the toolbar across the top of the screen I have a little star with green arrow which allows me to put favourits on the bar .Ist there for a while couple of days then just disappers .How can I keep it as they are some of the sites I visit quite often

just add them to favourites just as easy to keep them there
