Anyone know what Patons Decor yarn is the equivalent of? Soneone kindly suggested 4ply but the needles are 4mm and 4.5mm which would suggest something thicker - maybe an Aran - can anyone help please?

I do alot of knitting, 4mm needles are usually used with Double knitting wool, I am knitting with Aran at the moment and the pattern is for 5mm needles
I'd agree with barb Aran is generally knitted on 5mm so I'd hazard a guess at double knit too.

I'm also using DK with 4mm needles
Hi,
Have used Patons Decor in the past and it is equivalent to a 10-ply yarn (our Aran in the UK), and is 75% acrylic and 25% wool
