what should the texture of blackberry jelly be like? mine is a bit like thick marmite but i thought it would be like a set rowntrees jelly, tastes great but is it right? please.

Assuming you are talking about jelly as in jelly and ice cream.

You can always re-boil it with some pectin extract. Then it will set firmly so that it comes out of the jar in lump on a spoon instead of a thick flow.
