G - if sir alec feels that she wants to come straight back on here, then we are here and some of us can/will be there and understand from where she is coming from.......depression makes us do some strange things and there is nothing to feel down about. She will know what those of us who have been there are thinking and there is help out there.

This is Connemmara - I like everybody on these abers have been through so much. I was at death 'door last year 2011(mentally) as in truth and lies - I should be telling you the truth but the truth is so severe that I can't even put in words. However, please let her I(Sir Alec) know she will get back from this dark place. It may take some time. Bless her!!! Sorry I can't think of any more words to help you.

Hello again.
I have been through last night's posts. There are so many well-wishers that I cannot answer all of you. These are just the people who asked questions.
Mamya, thank you for the poem. She will be delighted.
DT crosswordfan, her birthday is October 8th. She will be 50 this year, but will not thank me for telling you.
ttfn, my partner and I are pretending that she is in Bedford visiting friends. It's a lie, but my father will fret if he thinks that there is anything wrong.
wolf63, I am sorry to hear that you are on Lithium, my sister hated it and one of her biggest worries is that they will try and put her back on it.
NOX, as ttfn said, your post stood out as heart-felt, you sound like a very kind person. Not that anybody else's did not. You have all been very kind.
I have found a large card with a dog on the front. I will be writing everybody's names on it and taking it to the hospital later today.
I will also be mentioning sibton's 'Friends of Sir Alec' site, with all contributors mentioned on the card.
Plus a special mention of Mamya and paddywak, who played songs for her last evening.
If I have missed anyone, I am sorry, but I am tired. My father spent most of the night walking round switching lights on and off and opening doors. According to my sister he does this a lot, though I had not witnessed it before. It is no wonder that she is always tired.

Good morning G. Did you choose a film or 2 for dad? Alec often puts one on for him during her nights on here. Good idea about the 'holiday'. I hope you are able to catch up on your rest soon.

Alec mentioned her next birthday milestone only recently, but not the date. It will be nice to post her something special for the occasion. I wonder if the dog looks like Hamish? :)

ttfn, my father kept falling asleep during the evening and ended up watching The Invisible Man three times. It drove us mad.
The card has a watercolour of a cocker spaniel and some violets on it.
Hamish was a very special dog. I don't think that my sister has ever got over his death and never will, probably.
