Keeps loosing power after about 40 miles... Judders and looses speed. After a rest of an hour seems to work. Told it may be over heating but air flow switches are apparently working

Any thoughts or advice... Sitting by the m6 for the second time in a few hours!

I have no idea what sort of vehicle you are asking about. Is there any temperature gauges on the dashboard? When you stop do you look into the engine bay? Does it look, smell or sound hotter than it should?
I'd guess it's a VW camper but the post was made on a phone, so VW got turned into BE by autocorrect.
Could be anything G-Girl! Dirt in the fuel, Does the Temp Gauge Increase on the Gauge? Ing problems?

My dad had a VW camper years ago with similar problem. After many visits to the dealer it was never solved and he sold it to a workmate letting him know of the problem. The new owner took it down to the south of France and hadthe same problem. However some little countryside garage found what the V W dealer couldn't,a sliver of metal inthe carb, hey presto no more problems.
