I recently purchased a Dell Studio1737 laptop, which runs with no problem. It has a 60gb hdd, so i purchased a 120gb to replace it. The only problem is that it will not load Windows 7 on the 120 drive. I have tried everything i can but it refuses all my attempts. Can anyone be of assistance please? Thanks in advance

Is the HDD configured as a master or a slave? ....may involve tinkering with jumpers to make it the 'boot disk'.
Did you initialise the drive before you installed it . By doing this you install the boot loader. But Windows 7 should do this for you when you load it from the install DVD via the dvd drive. Are you loading it from the drive with the bios changed to boot from the drive.?
