This isn't a health & fitness question but I can't put it under any other category. Somewhere I read that there's a trick to prevent yourself from crying in public. Anyone heard of it? I hate it when I cry at funerals & get embarrassed. Thanks

Blimey, I'm always crying, I cry on behalf of other people as well. The last few mornings walking the dog some songs on the ipod shuffled in and made me cry. Thank God the kids are off school so there wasn't many people about.

I went to a funeral a couple of years ago an outlaws mum had passed, knowing the way I am I dreaded going as I knew I'd cry, well, much to my delight I held it together, all the way through the hymns, the readings and the grandchildren getting up talking, not a tear. I sat there and counted all the beams and ornaments in the church, right at the very end a ridiculously bleurgh song by Westlife or Boyzone (don't remember which, they sound the same) came on and there I went, blubbing.
I went to the funeral of a guy called Phil Tunstall who worked forMike Lloyd the local music promoter. Phil died in a carriage accident when he was a young man, he was very popular and knew loads of musicians and music industry types. We all held it together at the church, until the p.a. played Eric Clapton's 'Let It Grow' and that was it, not a dry eye anywhere!
