OH is building me 2 raised beds. They'll be about 5' x 1'6" x 1'2". Now, the question is what shall I grow in them. I'd like one to have salad stuff in, but what about the other one? Thank you.

The best things to grow are the things you most enjoy eating.

I grow new potatoes, parsnips, runner and dwarf beans, salad, red onions, courgettes and squash.

Green veg are difficult because they get eaten alive by cabbage white butterflies but all of the above take little or no special skills nor do you need a green house.

Maidup - surely I couldn't get all that into 2 little raised beds could I?
I can't wait to see them full of lovely stuff - I've been waiting for OH to make these for about 4 years!!! He's promised - yes promised I'll have them next week.
