Re hand brake cable.....does it connect to the calliper or onto the back of the disc? please.

Google your Question Mano, I think from what it said that it does connect to the Caliper on the Mk2

Thanks TWR, I'm not a car expert. I was trying to find out if the handbrake was integral with the calliper and not a separate drum system. I think my Googling suggests the same as yours
If your knowledgeable Mano you can do the job yourself, but if you are unsure DO NOT DO IT, the rear brakes obviously are the secondary braking system, if you get a local family run business to replace the cable it will not cost you the earth but at least you know the job SHOULD have been done right, they should also smear a slight coating of copper grease on the work incorporated
