I know it's a prop in Blackpool, but any idea of the make and aproximate age please.

Wrong.....It's a 1927 Triumph SD with the Gloria sidecar option

My Great Uncle and Grandfather made side cars in the 1950's and 60's.
They were known as Raven Sidecars.
He then moved into making wooden rowing boats.

They also made Caravans in the 40's.

Remember being told my Grandfather who was an engineer , being upset not being allowed to go and fight in the 2nd world war. Instead he was kept in the UK and had to fix the large fixed position guns as they failed or were damaged.
He had a certificate of merit also for making a safety device for guns.

Yes definitely more opportunity then.
My Grandfather was a born engineer.
He used to make caravans and then sell them.
This took off and his brother started making sidecars and row boats later.
My Grandfather then started a garage business (Raven Coachworks).

My wife's great grandfather was also denied the chance to fight in the Second War. He was Canadian and the Nations Bee Keeper (Weird title).
At the time Canada were concerned about loss of skills and kept key skilled people back from fighting. He was documented as appealing this and lost the appeal and was very upset by the whole affair.
