If the names on the accounts are Identical then you'll probably get away with it initially. It is however fraud of course! If the names are different then you'll be spotted immediately and would probably just get rejected but the more enthusiastic lender may well involve the old bill!.
You'd only get away with it if your son's full name (not just initial) is the same as yours and if he also lives at the same address. (The computer will compare postcodes). The lender is under a legal obligation to notify the police of all fraudulent applications.

For the reasons stated above, I'd avoid putting your son's details on your application.
If you apply for a loan then by all means say to them "please pay the money into my son's bank account" but don't give anyone the impression that your son's account is really yours just because you share a name.
If someone discovers this white lie then it'll be fair to assume that they'll believe the rest of your application might contain other lies : they could decline it for this reason alone. And they could also involve the boys in blue.
