I have been using the same rechargeable batteries in my camera for 4 years .I have 4 in the pack but only use 2 at a time alternate. They were starting to lose there charge so I bought the same make 4 pack from wilkinsons 2000mah. I fully charged 2 and took 1 photo then next day batteries in camera were flat.I have not taken the other 2 out as they will see they have not been used.I fully charged them again and this morning they were flat after 1 photo. As it is batteries and I still have receipt can I get them exchanged.

Gromit that's an idea. My son has exactly the same camera as I have so I will charge the batteries again and get him to bring his camera over.

I am a wedding photographer and use them in my flash. Starting in the morning in brides house. on to church etc, and fill in flash outside. Speaches etc inside in a large hall. I get at least 300 shots out of them before I change themand then they are not expired. I just want to be safe for more work.

The reason I put this question up was because it was batteries I had opened and used. For all they know I could have been taking back the batteries I have been using for the past 4 years which were identical. Some people can get so high and mighty with a reply.
wendilla, I don't think you will have any problem with Wilkinsons, they are a very good firm and I am sure they will refund without any hesitation.
They refunded me for a dodgy kettle, a couple of months ago, and I couldn't find the receipt.
Sorry that you felt that. All I was trying to say that they will not give you a

hard time. You are worrying too much about it. It was not intended to come over in such a manner.

\Methyl these batteries I am on about were were only bought at the week end.
Ensure it isn't the camera draining them. Try them in something else if possible to see if they retain charge there.
Question Author
Yes I am waiting for my son to bring his camera over as it is identical to mine .
wendilla, I found that all of a sudden my camera wouldn't work at all, with brand new batteries - I don't use rechargeable, but kept putting in new ones and the camera kept saying "batteries need changing". Unfortunately my camera had died... it is quite old and I do use it a lot, so not worth getting it repaired, IMO.
Methyl, the post says that the failed batteries are two of the recently bought pack that replaced the 4 year old ones.
Also you are misguided in that ordinary batteries are as good as rechargeables. NOT SO. A camera will chew ordinary batteries in no time at all. They just do not have the power. Rechargeables (2300mah) will power the device, camera or flash, for much longer.
