Whether they'll accept it back though is another matter.
I don't believe you have any 'rights' to return something just because you decided you don't like it. If you haven't used it they will probably take it back though.

Not strictly true. If the store displays a returns policy then it must abide by it.
Sales of goods act 1979 - still holds true, many shops give you refunds etc for other reasons, but you have no right to a refund because you changed your mind.

because i didnt know i didnt like it till I tried it and could'nt try it in the store owd i am going to purchase a more expensive one if they will let me return the one I brought

but that seems to relate only to online purchases (you're allowed to return stuff you've bought online sight unseen, but this wouldn't apply to you.)
