In his beard!

Looks attached to his skin...like size of a popcorn kernal or a small bean? Brown in colour and soft....actually looks like sweetcorn kernal except brownish!!? And at the skin looks almost stitched in with black stiches! Wot the heck is it...tryin to upload a pic. He isnt growling or flinching when i touch it so must not be sore! X

Its out guys!!! And it was trying to crawl away!! So head was defo intact!!! I actualy blew out a match and tapd the thing on the end wth it then yanked it out! Gin on! Feel pleased. Thanks guys xxxx

Horrible things, well done. Can I just mention on AB for the umpteenth time that Frontline Spoton doesn't work anymore. Cats and dogs have become immune to it. If you google FL not working you will see what I say is true, so please find Pablo a different flea treatment or your home will be inundated with the wretched things.

What about Frontline Combo which has replaced the old Frontline. It works for both my cat and dog.

Lottie there are lots of people complaining about the combo also so I would keep a close eye on the situation if I were you. I've stepped away from FL completely after learning the hard way with my cat and my neighbour with his dog. Using Advocate now.

IMO best for ticks is a scalibor collar. We live near the New Forest and my boys never ever (touching wood) pick up ticks since using scalibor collars. Best thing for removing a tick (they get the odd one off season as they don't wear the collars around end oct to end march) is an o'tom tick remover.

dab some nail polish remover on to engorged tick or white spirit and tick will eventually shrivel up and fall off

This is most likely a tic, tinkerbell! You need to remove it, but do this carefully. I put some alcohol or nail varnish remover on a cotton pad and gently rub it in a circle around the tic. The tic will become dizzy and let go of your dog's skin. You can then pick it up with the cotton and dispose of it. I burn them. A vet taught me this method many years ago. It does not hurt the dog. You can also buy tic removers now, but I find this method quick, easy and it always removes the head and feet of the tic as well as the body. This is important, as if the feet and head remain in the dog's skin, they can cause an infection.
