I've been suffering agonising toothache for the past couple of days or so, but don't want to go back to my dentist as I'm convinced it's her that's caused it! It cost me an arm and a leg at Xmas to see this quack and can't afford another session, so does anyone know if Guy's Dental walk-in clinic is free?

Cheers Sara - I guess the King's one is the same then?
no idea.. try google.

can't you see a different dentist at your surgery? or just change dentists?
I think you have to be referred by a dentist for specialised treatment.

As I said Sara - I can't afford another £200, otherwise that's exactly what I'd do.. hence my question about Guy's being free
sorry, can't help unless you look into whether you're entitled to free NHS treatment based on benefits you receive, or possibly a low income.

I know Mark - it's a nightmare. I'm a self employed gardener, so not on benefits and can't prove a low income. Problem I have constantly with these things.. I suppose I'll just have to dip into my winter savings and spend a lot less on the grandkids pressies this year! Thanks for trying to help x
no worries.. not sure who Mark is, though!

there has been a big recent push to make NHS dentists available to all. Where do you live? i be there is an nhs dentist taking on new patients near you. Althought it's still not free, it is cheaper than private
Our local Community Trust has a walk-in dental service - worth googling NHS dentists + your town.
My dentist is a lovely guy who refused to extract a tooth that was healthy but had doubled over and was painful. He advised me to use Sensodine toothpaste, not scrub too hard and rub the tooth with it if painful. It worked!
No idea but you can also check our Dental Clinic for
