I really feel for you as it becomes a vicious circle and the more you worry about not sleeping, the less you can sleep.

I'm sure you've had all sorts of advice already but one of the most important things is to stick to a sleep regime. Go to bed and get up at the same time every night/day. Do the same 'wind down' things every night, so that your mind and body realise that sleep is coming.

Most importantly, but really hard, is get up at the same time every morning and don't be tempted to lie in to catch up. Eventually, you should reintroduce a good sleep pattern.

Hope that helps. Sleep well!
Hi tinkerbell, well just thought I would say I know how you feel. I have had the same now for about two weeks and feel sooooooo tired. I seem to go to sleep for an hour then awake up and just get cat naps inbetween but see every hour. Until that is about 6 oclock and then go off to sleep. My husband is usually up between 7 and 8. He brings me a cup of tea about nine but I have awful trouble to wake up. Get up at ten and fall asleep in the chair by 11.!
Lets hope at least one of us sleep tonight. xx
maybe because you are waking up in afternoon, you arent tired enough at night time xx
I suffered with the same a few months back, for several month, felt like a zombie, spent a week in hospital for something else,am sleeping alot better now, have you other probs that maybe effecting your sleep?
I work shifts and my body clock is doing cartwheels, I think it`s got used to it now though

Hi Tinks I have suffered with insomnia for years, tried all sorts of things. About 3 years ago I bought an Insomnia band. It's a velcro strip about an inch wide and it goes around your wrist, there is a pull through fastener and it has a stud like thing attached. You position the stud on a pulse point on your wrist and tighten it. It is a form of acupuncture I think. It really works for me and has done since I bought it. Lent it to 14 yr old granddaughter who was struggling with exams and it worked for her. It was advertised in Daily Express

Years ago I used Nytol tablets they worked very well for me but I discovered later from a pharmacist they were responsible for my high blood pressue which I still have to this day, they had same ingredients as hay fever tablets so please take care.
carandrog, if you use that wristband when you go on pop master I`ll have you named and shamed when I read out my list of hellos ;o)
tink, try getting up in the morning rather than the afternoon, then maybe you'll sleep at night, I think your body clock is all messed up!......
