Hi tinks! I've heard that some people take quinine tablets for restless feet/legs. Might be worth a try.
Drink tonic water - it has quinine in it and you might have some kicking about the house :) x
Hi tinkerbell23, I get restless legs, so I can sympathise with you. Its really horrible , always starts around bed time. I put up with it for years, and in the end went to my GP. I now take medication for it every evening and it really helps. There are lots of different meds for this condition, so if you don't mind taking a tablet or two, give your GP a visit. Good luck...
I try and keep them cool and raised, I get foot cooling sprays and if really bad (legs too) I rub some anti-inflammatory pain gel stuff into them though try to use it sparingly and go for the cheap pound shop version which I assume isn't as strong as voltarol and emugel and such.
Being nice to your feet helps too, do you wear good supportive footwear, especially if walking a lot. Mine are affected by arthritis and I find mine really suffer if I don't wear decent footwear, especially cheap flats or flipflops with really thin soles and especially in hot weather.
I take Amitriptyline, which you would have to see your doctor for, as it's on prescription, but it really helps my restless legs. It is actually an anti-depressant, but only if taken in considerably higher dosages than I take (50mg). Hope this helps.
Try cooling gel. It smells nice and minty and has worked for my wife.
Boots have a nice cooling foot range and I had a gorgeous peppermint footspray from the Body shop.

I use calmagzinc tablets (calcium magnesium zinc) they are huge things like swallowing a brick and the dose is three a day but they do seem to help.

Ill have to do something....no way i can work tomorrow if this happens tonight :0/ x
Have you got (and can you take) ibuprofen? It's helped me get a decent night sleep when mine have been evil before now (try not to take it often)?

Yep and yep! Will try....i swear jenna i was DEMENTED last night x
It's horrible isn't it! Mine are worst on planes, only the last few years, don't know what it is about being on a plane but they drive me demented and nothing helps them, glad I don't fly often - might take something to make me sleep through some of it next time. Hope you get a decent nights sleep tonight x
Its so debilitating, just don't know what to do with yourself. Sometimes mine has been so bad(despite taking meds) I have cried with it. I'm sure people(including the medical profession) who have never had it, just don't realise or understand just how bad this is. I must admit that I have never tried the voltarol gel or taking ibrprufen, so when I get another bad night I will give them a try(not both together).
