I have a thing that will generate Adobe numbers, I think it is called keygen. Does that help?

Trimer I have tried this one before but it doesn't work . Whatever numbers you enter you get the same errors .
It looks great and would do the job if it worked .
I wanted different groups of 5 digits out of a possible 1-9 without duplication , which should generate about 300 ( I only actually need about 100 of them ) but each time it generates groups out of 0000 - 9999, with many duplicates .
Maybe I'm doing sometrhing wrong. ?
When I was at school and first worked with statistics in business we used random number tables and pen and paper to generate these
Problem is, factor it's not random if there is a requirement for no repetition, if it was truly random then the sequence 55555 would be just as likely as any other.
I know chuck, but as the digits are random in random number tables I can't see a problem in skipping over digits that have already been used. I think it would take less than 30 minutes to produce 100 five digit numbers manually.

I have looked at keygen which may be a possible solution but I don't want to download unsuitable software .
I want to restrict the characters A B C D E F G H I into different groups of five without duplication of any character within each group. I can then allocate a different object or number to each letter .

Mark what are these number tables you mentioned ?
I have tried to do it manually and it does become quite difficult after the first 20 odd groups and easy to make mistakes. Also I require to reallocate the numbers to different characters every 2 months.
If you still have those books with log tables sines, cosines, square roots, etc, you'll find some pages with random numbers on.

Thank you all . Following on from your ideas I have found an almost perfect site.
I say ' almost ' as it doesn't do a a random letter generator for selected letters but it does integers which I can substitute.

It covers a wide range of subjects so you might find it interesting.

I got bored :)

if you download the excel file below and open it then it will give you a random sequence of numbers 0-9 and letters a-h in the yellow cells. if there are duplicates in the sequence it will tell you and then you just have to press F9 to recalculate until you get a sequence without duplicates

The numbers and letters in the list are taken from column A so if you want to add more letters just change anything in column A and it will be included...

If anyone can figure out how to make it recalculate until it gets a sequence without duplicate please go ahead :)
