I need to pay someone money who lives down south but banks with the Bank Of Scotland and as there is a branch in my town can I use a Bank Of Scotland Pay-In envelope and fill in there bank account details on it and pay the money into there account this way or can these envelopes only be used if you are paying money into your own account, I don't have time to wait in a queue as I can only nip out from work for a few minutes and it is shut in my lunch hour.
Thanks in advance.

Yes.
Just complete your friends details and drop the envelope into the quick deposit slot.
I used to work for a bank, and to be honest, we weren't really bothered who paid money INTO an account, we were just bothered if someone other than the account holder tried to withdraw money OUT of an account!
(ie robbery) !
