OH has put brown dubbing on the roof of my car thinking he was doing good by keeping the damp off and its left brown patches all over it, would something like white spirit or methylated spirits help to get it off. god knows what he was thinking I am furious with him.

Oh dear - I wouldn't know what to suggest, dubbin is so waxy.. I've only ever used it on my dad's cricket boots. Could you get some black dubbin and cover it up?

dont think so box it seems to gather in clumps, of like you say waxy patches, so would'nt want to put any more on it.

This is entirely unrelated to your question fruitsalad but by your avatar I am presuming you like these sweets as I do myself. Have you had any of the new style ones and if so would you say they have changed not only the packaging but the flavour too?

Try hot water with fairy liquid & a scrubbing brush.

tried that TWR has'nt worked, may have to try some white spirit on a small area see if it gets it off, tigwig they are nothing like they use to be, loved fruitsalads and blackjacks as a kid maybe its just Im getting older

You may find what I'm about to say Stupid but, do you have an extension lead? take it out to your car & use your Electric Iron with brown paper to try & raise the Dubbing up & wipe off as you go along. at times I use this method to Gum + wax.
