Wow, that does not give us much time, does it, but thanks for the warning. Which part of the sky do we look in? I mean North, South, East or West, not the numbers for the parts of the sky, which not all of us understand.

Jonnyboy if you have not seen it before if it is a clear sky it just glides across and it does NOT blink. It is very bright.
Ohhhhhrrr, Its lovely and clear here, will have a look and let you know if I see it.
Thanks, wendilla, for your helpful advice. Can you please come to my area, and blow all the clouds away for me, as it is very overcast where we are? Can you also let us all know when we can see it again?

Just had a look out here in Leicestershire . All cloudy now.
just saw it go over Portsmouth...
hi wendilla, just in from work and i rushed to find your post cos i thought we woulkd have a clear sky but it;'s not : ( Was hoping for the first sighting of the year, thanks for being here though!
Nothing but cloud here too :(
Just saw it go over Shropshire, and by the way it is a lot brighter than a star. Venus is not the third brightest thing in the sky now; it is the I.S.S. instead. So now the brightness order is the Sun, The Moon, The I.S.S., and fourthly the planet Venus.
